London Fashion Week and LDO
By London Designer Outlet
There are three words on the lips of the fashion world this September –‘London Fashion Week’. The show organised by the British Fashion Council, celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, and has become a landmark event in UK fashion, hailed as one of the ‘big four’ international catwalk influencers.
This year there are 60 catwalk shows designed to dazzle and captivate fashion audiences with everyone from Mulberry, and new talent from newcomers such as recent Nottingham fashion graduate, Rebecca Swan. It’s also the opportunity to review all the trends for Spring/Summer 2015 and round up the highlights of the current season, which are set to be fabulous.
This year, over 120 ready-to wear and accessories designers will descend on Somerset House for London Fashion week in Central London. It’s set to be as extravagant and beautiful a show as ever and an opportunity for emerging world class talent to set the fashion world on fire.
There’s no need for you to get missed out as LDO has some of the best high street picks for you to enjoy this season.
M&S get in on the action
Last year, Marks and Spencer participated in London Fashion week for the first time featuring their Best of British Autumn/Winter Women’s wear collection. Don’t miss out on their latest Autumn/Winter 14 collection, created by style director Belinda Earl which highlights smart layers, tailoring and androgyny as well as some down town 1960s inspired knee high boots and shift dresses.
Heartthrob David Gandy recently designed his own exclusive menswear and sleepwear collection for M&S for Autograph, and with prices ranging from £15, these are must-have items not to be missed. Also, cool blue is the new black in tuxedos, with Daniel Craig’s tux believed to be the culprit for starting the increasing demand for blue suits, also available in the Autograph range.
Not forgetting the footwear!
Of course, completing any outfit requires a beautiful shoe, and Clarks have it covered to help you folks look on point all season. Get college ready with loafers with high shine finishes, and team with a denim jacket, or if you’re feeling sporty add a hint of athleticism with sneaker laces with street art finishes.
Clarks has also paired up with the iconic brand Norton, for biker-styled men’s footwear, and is helping you guys stay on-trend with deep cup soles for a casual and comfortable look!
Finally, if you’re looking for the perfect black heel sandal Kurt Geiger have it covered, and LK Bennett have a selection of suede over the knee boots to keep stylish and warm all autumn/winter.
