New Autumn Menus
The new season isn’t just an opportunity for new clothes! There’s lots of updates to menus from our cafés and restaurants at LDO.
Here’s a taster of the new menus from Pizza Express and Las Iguanas – are your tastebuds ready?
Autumn has arrived at Pizza Express and they are serving up a brand new heart-warming menu!
The Calzone Is Back!
Try the Calzone ‘Nduja with spicy sausage – their hottest pizza yet! For vegans, they have the Calzone Verdure: roasted peppers, aubergine and courgette with spinach and smoky tomato harissa.
Carbonara Romana Returns
After a summer break the Carbonara Romana returns – the perfect pizza to warm up on those autumn nights. Pancetta, mozzarella and garlic oil on a béchamel base, baked with a free-range egg. Their popular Funghi di Bosco Romana, topped with Portobello mushroom and mozzarella, is still very much on the menu for autumn.
Creamy Baked Garlic Mushroom, made with vegan mozzarella, or juicy King Prawns with Spicy ‘Nduja.
The vegan and gluten-free Chocolate & Amaretto Parfait stay for autumn, and they welcome the Chocolate Fondant – a rich, warm chocolate cake oozing with hot chocolate sauce and served with vanilla gelato.
Cocktails & Wine
Pizza Express’ zesty new cocktail, the Orange & Cacao Gin Buck, is set to add a touch of zing to your tastebuds. They also have two new wines – the Picpoul de Pinet: a French white with a refreshing minerality, and the Primitivo: a medium bodied red with notes of dried fig and blackberries.
Get ready to take your taste buds on a flavour journey from the beaches of Brazil to the streets of Mexico and the steak houses of Argentina. This Autumn/Winter enjoy a host of brand new additions made lovingly by Las Iguanas’ chefs, is out now. There’s a whole host of new dishes that are taking residence alongside your classic favourites, like the Xinxim & Moqueca, Fajitas & Burritos, all made from scratch.
Try new additions to the tapas menu like their Pisco Pork Belly – sweet soy & Peruvian pisco-glazed pork belly cubes with smoked sweet potato & amarillo purée, pink pickled onions & sweet chilli pepper pearls. Veggies can cosy up with the Winter Ceviche made with smoked sweet potato & amarillo purée, Aztec grains, pickled vegetables, avocado aioli, sweet chilli pepper pearls, candied seeds & sweet potato crisps. Or there’s the Brazilian Fried Chicken – buttermilk-marinated chicken breast in a crispy spice-crumb, sliced & served with amarillo aioli.
Guess Who’s Back?
It’s back! The Prawn and Peanut Maracaná makes a return to this year’s Autumn/Winter menu. Delicious prawns cooked in a peanut, chilli, coconut, lime & coriander sauce served in our sourdough bread bowl inspired by the famous Maracaná stadium in Rio. Served with shredded greens.
Living Life on the Veg?
Veggie, vegan & gluten-free menus are bigger & better than ever this Autumn. You’ve tried the chipotle Pulled Jackfruit taco, now it is time to try the Bahian Jackfruit Curry! This tasty new addition to the menu features roasted pulled jackfruit & ethically sourced palm hearts cooked in a coconut sauce with ginger, garlic, cumin, cayenne, coriander & tomatoes. Served with spring onion rice & shredded greens.
Not Forgetting Cocktails
You’ll be spoilt for choice at the bar, with 13 new cocktails to try! The Flamingo-A-Go-Go, the ultimate in kitsch and served in a flamingo, is expertly mixed with Olmeca Altos Blanco 100% Agave Tequila, Malibu, Funkin strawberry, sherbet, lime, coconut water & lemonade. Or does the delicious sweetie-inspired Rhubard & Custard tickle your tastebuds with Absolut Juice Rhubard Vodka, white cacao, vanilla, lemon, aquafaba & rhubard bitters.
