Money Saving Tips at London Designer Outlet

If you love shopping and want to rock those stylish looks while saving some serious cash, you’re in for a treat!

We caught up with retail queen, Debbie Gray, London Designer Outlet’s Retail Performance Manager. In this blog we’re sharing Debbie’s insider tips on how to get the best deals and dispelling myths surrounding shopping at in outlet stores.

Debbie heads out into the stores at LDO everyday, yes that’s right, every single day! So we knew we had to speak with Debbie when it comes to making the most out of your visit to London Designer Outlet.

Let’s dive straight in and read about a few money saving tips when shopping in London.

When do the stores have deliveries and restock?

“There is an art to pinpointing top-notch discounts. Each brand from Calvin Klein to Converse will have its own delivery schedule.” says Debbie.

“Tuesday and Saturday are our heaviest drop days at LDO. These are the best days to hunt down the fresh arrivals across fashion, homeware, and beauty.”

When is the best time to shop?

“Run, don’t walk. The best time to shop for no queues is first thing in the morning from 10am to 11am Monday to Saturday and from 11am to 12pm on Sunday.” advises Debbie.

“It’ll also quieten down at the end of the day, so 7pm to 8pm Monday to Saturday is a good time for a calmer browse.”

Any insider tips on how to save even more money when visiting LDO?

“Keep an eye out for mid-season sales and end-of-the-month payday weekend deals, which will be on top of the year-round savings of up to 70 percent off RRP.”

“London Designer Outlet is a varied mix of discounted previous season items, as well as overstock from current full price lines, and you’ll also find exclusive ‘made for outlet’ lines across the shopping destination.” says Debbie.

Top 5 tips for getting the most out of your visit to LDO

  1. Before you visit, have a browse on our offers page where the latest brand deals are highlighted.
  2. Are you signed up to our One Wembley Park rewards club? It’s free to join and you’ll get personalised offers based on the stores you love at LDO. Every purchase you make at London Designer Outlet and Wembley Park will unlock exclusive rewards, early sale access, discounts, and invites to VIP events.

You won’t find all the One Wembley Park rewards club offers on our website so it’s worth downloading the app to see the latest rewards.
  3. Speak to the store’s sales assistants. Although most stock is kept on the shop floor they might have some extra pieces in their stockrooms that are on your wish list!
  4. Some of our brands like Villeroy & Boch have their own customer mailing lists. Those on the list will be one of the first to find out about new arrivals and promotions – ask in store if they have a database you can sign up for.
  5. Looking for extra discounts? You can secure additional savings on top out outlet prices in some stores with student ID and Blue Light cards.

Can I make savings elsewhere in the outlet?

Of course, we’re always highlighting offers and promotions from our food and drink brands on our website and Instagram page.

LDO’s F&B Performance Manager Alex Boffrey adds: “If you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, mid-week is best, as weekends and school holidays are always bustling – many of our restaurants run family-friendly offers or kids eat free deals.

Las Iguanas has two-for-one alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails every day, all day.”

What Else Is There Other Than Shopping?

London Designer Outlet is home to family-friendly restaurants and a nine-screen Cineworld cinema showing the latest blockbusters from Hollywood to Bollywood and everything in between.

Cineworld also has a dedicated 4DX screen, combining a theme park ride with a movie for a truly immersive event. And, the first Sunday of the month features a dedicated autism-friendly showing.
