What Is Purple Tuesday?
Purple Tuesday 2019 is an international call to action, focused on changing the customer experience for disabled people. It will involve organisations of all sizes and from all sectors taking decisive, practical actions to meet the needs of disabled customers.
Purple Tuesday is about creating a step change improvement in the awareness of the value and needs of disabled customers. It is about making the customer experience accessible.
At London Designer Outlet we are always striving to improve the Guest experience for less abled people. Our DropIt service is a great example of this, you shop, leave your bags with each store you visit, and the team gather them into a single delivery to your home at a time convenient for you. They even offer same day delivery for locations within the M25, allowing you to experience the London Designer Outlet without worrying about what to do with your bags.
Cineworld regularly show subtitled films here at London Designer Outlet, there is also the option to have audio description headsets for certain films. They have sensory friendly screenings on the first Sunday of every month at 11am and on Tuesday 12th November for Purple Tuesday they will be showing Shaun the Sheep Farmageddon at 12:30pm. Sensory friendly means there are no trailers, the lights and volume are turned down, you can take your own cold food & drink and you can sit where you want and move around.
London Designer Outlet’s guest services team pride themselves on helping guests during their visit to the centre, whether that is with arranging shopmobility, taxi bookings, general information or just finding their way around the mall.
